Dear students! Welcome to the Faculty of Dentistry! Using innovative teaching methods, the leadership and teaching staff of the Faculty of Dentistry make great efforts for training high-qualified dentists who are aware of new advances in medicine and are able to work with modern medical equipment. We wish each of you success in learning this honorable and noble profession!

There are 7 departments at the Faculty of Dentistry.

The departments are equipped with all the necessary equipment for students to get a quality education.

The faculty is headed by Associate professor Elmira Ramiz gizi Aliyeva.

There are 1 deputy dean, 2 academic consultants and an operator at the faculty.

In 2022, Azerbaijan Medical University, as the first and only university among higher educational institutions in the country, successfully passed International accreditation in three specialties. One of them is “Dentistry”.

The duration of training in the specialty “Dentistry” is 5 years.

During the standard period of study (5 years), the student must complete 300 credits.

According to the Bologna system, the level of knowledge is assessed on a 100-point.

Students who graduate from the Faculty of Dentistry can work as a dentist or complete a residency in the following specialties:

1. Maxillofacial surgery
2. Organization of social hygiene and healthcare
3. Endodontics
4. Periodontology
5. Reconstructive dentistry
6. Orthopedic dentistry
7. Pediatric dentistry
8. Orthodontics
